Just indulge....

Saturday 15.08.09

Baby and I decided to hang out at Island Plaza Coffee Bean since he has a free coupon of RM10 as a gift from Yinhooi for his birthday. A weekends/weekdays in this little corner has always been a perfect spot for relaxation, furthermore we need a short escape.

I just love the smell of the roasted coffee beans whenever I walk in the coffee house (Coffee Bean & Starbucks) where it wakes your senses as well as the ambiance where it is always racy yet cozy and quite mellow which set the mood for a comfortable drink.

I love to head to a coffee house coupled with some good novels, grab some food or beverages *especially green tea rhumba cream frappucino...my favorite!!* and just enjoy the ambiance while you dig into your favorite novel. And I can honestly say that Starbucks is my favorite reading holes.

Well, we sat there for a while. And..... with such nice atmosphere, we couldn't help but to camwhore a little! *as usual...tee-hee..*

Just a little....

Down with diarrhoea..

diarrhoea a
I love this pic...it's cute doesn't it?? Got it from fis 2009 blog.

Ughhh....Several days ago, I had diarrhoea but it's not the serious type. It all started at 6 am. Can you believe it??!! 6 AM!! *Suppose to be sleeping soundly, wandering into my sweet dreams*

I don't know how many times I have visited the toilet and I don't know what have I eaten to cause this... but at the end of the day, I'm getting better after popping some pills specially for diarrhoea. And...what makes me happy was that..........

my baby drove all the way from his place to my place just to check on me on such late hours. How sweet!! *feels touched*

A heartfelt thank you to you hubby for your tender loving care... Love you to bits!!

Toss it high into the air!!

Do you still remember the day you toss your convocation cap?? For me..ermm...I must say that I don't have the chance as I was not in Malaysia during my convocation last year. *Yess...I missed it*

Well, tomorrow would be a day that is different from any other day for my hubby. Yesss...you guess it right!! It's a CONVOCATION DAY for my dear hubby. Congrats baby..you did it!! And yes...I really must say that I am proud of him taking into account that he always does his studies last minute..and I mean..really last minute. *I guess it is in some of us...hehehe*

Unfortunately, I'm not following him down to KL to attend his graduation. *wondering why??* Of course I wanted to be there badly for him but you see, it is not a guarantee that he can get another extra ticket for me since each is entitle 2 free tickets. *even though he has already applied for it but chances is slim* Guess I wouldn't wanna take a risk in this. What if they told him that there isn't any spare ticket for him after I've bought my bus ticket. Imagine how pathetic would it be standing outside alone under the hot sun for I-don't-know-how-many-hours. And what if it rains on that day...even worse!! So...I guess, to be on the safe side... staying at home is the option for me. Moreover, he doesn't mind because we have the same perception on certain things. Right bee??

So..guess all I can do is to wait for him to show me dozen of pictures of him receiving his degree and jumps for joy while tossing his convocation cap into the air with his friends. How great would that be!!

Celebrate, savour this day!! Happy Graduation baby!!

Craving for Tacos...

Craving for it had been growing and needed to be satisfied... Ugh..!! I miss my previous flatmate's (AKEMI is her name) homemade tacos... !! *she taught me this...our very own style*

Picnik collage

I guess most of you guys have heard about Taco and some might even have tried it before. As you know, taco is a traditional Mexican dish composed of a wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling. Why do I say that one can make their own style of taco?? Basically, it is because taco can be made with a variety of fillings including beef, cheese, vegetables, mutton, allowing for great versatility and variety. And you need not use tortilla to be the wrapper, but you can use other kind of bread to replace it just like what I did with my flatmate. That's what I called..... OWN STYLE! tee-hee..

As I said, we did not use the real ingredients of tacos just like in Mexico..but kinda a version of ourselves...

We used:
- Naan bread (replacing the tortilla)

For the fillings... (it depends on what you prefer)
- Tomatoes
- Carrots
- Sausages
- Onions

And we make our own taco seasoning with some Maggi curry paste which I don't think Malaysia has it YET... but you can make it from scratch. Give this recipe for homemade taco seasoning a try...

The Players:
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder (toasted and ground dried chillies)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
The How-to:

Mix everything. Store in an airtight container.

It wasn't quite the same as the original taco...but it was very tasty and it satisfied my cravings!! Perhaps it's time for me to dig into this recipe & let my hubby have a taste of this succulent taco...!! *hope it turns out good..couldn't guarantee it..if not, poor my little hubby..hehe*
