His timing...

A meaningful reminder for all of us..

May God hear & answer your every prayer...IN HIS TIME.

If the Lord has you on hold... hold on!
If the Lord has said "NO" to you... thank Him!
If the Lords is molding your heart and mind... go with His change!
If the Lord opens doors that you have asking Him to open... Praise Him!
Be blessed wherever you are in your life today! God has His hands on the situation!

Blessed Christmas at FPBC

First, Merry Belated Christmas!! I know I should blog about this earlier.. My bad! So, how did you celebrate your Christmas?

Here is my Christmas experience...

I started off the day by attending church service in the morning. What a great reminder of what Christmas is really all about. It is not about the trees, gifts, decorations or parties. You might be wondering then how does Christmas find its fulfillment and full meaning in that day? Christmas is about celebrating Jesus and God's love for us. It is the best time to share the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus to others. A time about giving Him to others and serving others for Him.

Literally, Christmas is all about HIM and the best gift of all is Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus!

firelove

At night, we had a potluck dinner at church. Each of us brought a dish of food to be shared among the group. Me and my baby supplied the drinks part. And and and.. it's a blessing for all of us as we get to savor a fat roasted turkey on Christmas Day brought by Sherrie and her husband. We end the amazing night by doing some Christmas caroling.

Here are some pictures from that night...

DELUCCA

*Another late post*

IMG_5030

Went to Delucca, the Italian restaurant while in KL with baby, his twin brother Gary and his gf Khai Ven and Daniel just because 2012 was sold out, and since they were already in town. It was very random right!

I love this place! The restaurant's moody interior manages to be classy yet relaxing as flattering low-key lighting soothes the effect everywhere. When it comes to service, you can expect an excellent service as the staffs are eager to please.

Mine as well : Lychee Martini... Makes me wanna have one right now!

Delucca is an absolutely perfect place for catching up with friends as well as a romantic dining with your companion. Moreover, a live jazz band helps heighten the mood further in the evening.

Dining at DELIcious restaurant

Alright this is a late post because I was too lazy to transfer the pictures in the memory card to my laptop. Ya... blame it on my idleness. Hehe

While we were in KL, my sis and her bf brought us to dine in DELIcious restaurant at Jalan Tun Razak along with her friends. Well, it was our first time dining there. We love the place the moment we stepped in. What I like the most is the ambiance. It was great and it is really suitable for couple's romantic dinner as well for a small gathering with friends.

I really love this!

The food portion is really big but it comes with a reasonable price. Worth paying for it.

Honestly, I was more towards the desserts section. I don't know why, but desserts always have some kind of spell on me. Haha! Every time I browse through a menu, I found myself looking at the dessert section first than the main course. And I always have a hard time choosing which to have.

I love the Banana Pudding with Caramel syrup. There is this dessert with some strawberries on top, but I did not write down the name. Heard from my sis it tasted great. Unfortunately, we did not ordered that as we were actually quite full.

Well, I guess I need to try that on the next trip down to KL. Would like to dine here once more!

Hai Nan Town Restaurant

A couple of weeks ago, my relatives were traveling out to Penang from KL. I remembered vividly how often they would travelled to Penang ever since I was young & me and my sisters would get all excited waiting for them to arrive. They will never missed the chance to visit Penang specially on special occasions like Chinese New Year.

They were here for 3 days 2 nights. If my memory serves me right, Saturday was their last day in Penang so we decided to have lunch with them before they depart for their journey. My sister recommended for lunch at Hai Nan Town Restaurant located by the jetty at Weld Quay (between Queen Elizabeth II & ferry terminal). I bet just like me, you will be captivated with the stunning view of the marina, Church Street Pier & QE II as well as the atmosphere of the restaurant itself.

Hai Nan Town Restaurant serves Nyonya & Hainanese delicacies. For your info, the menu here is halal (pork-free). Okay now, time to let the photos do all the talking...

*Sorry, I forgot to snap the Choon Piah (Spring Rolls), Chicken Lobak & Bee Koh Moy*

Overall, I'm satisfied with the food. It does come with authentic nyonya & hainanese taste. For those who are truly looking forward to satisfy their discerning taste buds with typical Nyonya & Hainanese dishes with a good ambience of the restaurant & a nice marina view with sea breeze blowing, this is one you should never missed out!

A brief update..

Sorry folks!! Was away for the past few weeks for my training. I'm back now anyway. I've realised I'm becoming idle in updating after been away from the blogging world for these period of time. PROCRASTINATING, procrastinating & procrastinating!! Hmmm..

Anyway, me and my other half went to watch "Storm Warriors II" yesterday night at Gurney Plaza. Quite surprised by the amount of cars in the parking lot. Cinema was quite full as well. I've enjoyed the show but frankly speaking, I still think the first series has a better storyline. Overall, I think Simon Yam has the most dialogue throughout the movie compared to Aaron Kwok & Ekin Cheng. Kinda disappointed and it seems like movies based on comics seems like never ending. So.. let's wait for the third one!

Will update soon with more pictureSsss... Stay tuned!

What a day!

12th November 2009, around 7.30 - 8 p.m :

Car broke down in the middle of a traffic jam. While I was driving back from Queensbay Mall, I've realized that it's getting hot in the car. Hot air is coming out from the air-con, then suddenly I noticed that the needle in my car temperature gauge went up to the red zone and white smoke is coming out from my car hood. Worst thing was I am not only stuck in a traffic jam but I was somewhere near the roundabout. I knew that this was a bad place to pull over when there was just only two lanes to use. *Imagine how congested it would be* On the other hand, I knew that if I did not pull over, my car would really be in a deep trouble.

Without hesitating, I turned off the engine. Put on the hazard lights. Waited for a few minutes to let the car cool down. I panicked because I was scared that the car engine might explode within any seconds. *Wild imagination huh* Called my mum, told her everything and asked have I check and filled in water into the coolant reservoir tank? I said it has already been filled a few weeks ago. I remembered it vividly so does my baby.

Restart the engine and drove my car quickly to a safe spot rather than in a congested road before the temperature gauge gets close to the red zone. I examined the coolant reservoir tank and realized that the water level is quite low. But it's not possible because I knew me and baby just refilled it not long ago. Well, maybe it's possible as well since we used this car quite often.

Anyway, I refilled the tank with water. *it would always be safe to leave a bottle of water in the car, in case of emergency* Waited for a few minutes before restarting the engine. Watch the temperature gauge obsessively in case the needle approaches the red zone again.

But fortunately, everything seems fine on the way back. Thank God! What a day huh!! But it's a great learning experience.
