They were here for 3 days 2 nights. If my memory serves me right, Saturday was their last day in Penang so we decided to have lunch with them before they depart for their journey. My sister recommended for lunch at Hai Nan Town Restaurant located by the jetty at Weld Quay (between Queen Elizabeth II & ferry terminal). I bet just like me, you will be captivated with the stunning view of the marina, Church Street Pier & QE II as well as the atmosphere of the restaurant itself.
Hai Nan Town Restaurant serves Nyonya & Hainanese delicacies. For your info, the menu here is halal (pork-free). Okay now, time to let the photos do all the talking...
Curry Tumis Fish
Jiu Hu Char
Inchi Kabin
Fried Kangkung with Belacan
Duck with Yam
Mutton Stew
Curry Kapitan
*Sorry, I forgot to snap the Choon Piah (Spring Rolls), Chicken Lobak & Bee Koh Moy*Overall, I'm satisfied with the food. It does come with authentic nyonya & hainanese taste. For those who are truly looking forward to satisfy their discerning taste buds with typical Nyonya & Hainanese dishes with a good ambience of the restaurant & a nice marina view with sea breeze blowing, this is one you should never missed out!
