Blessed Christmas at FPBC
First, Merry Belated Christmas!! I know I should blog about this earlier.. My bad! So, how did you celebrate your Christmas?
Here is my Christmas experience...
I started off the day by attending church service in the morning. What a great reminder of what Christmas is really all about. It is not about the trees, gifts, decorations or parties. You might be wondering then how does Christmas find its fulfillment and full meaning in that day? Christmas is about celebrating Jesus and God's love for us. It is the best time to share the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus to others. A time about giving Him to others and serving others for Him.
Literally, Christmas is all about HIM and the best gift of all is Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus!
At night, we had a potluck dinner at church. Each of us brought a dish of food to be shared among the group. Me and my baby supplied the drinks part. And and and.. it's a blessing for all of us as we get to savor a fat roasted turkey on Christmas Day brought by Sherrie and her husband. We end the amazing night by doing some Christmas caroling.
Here are some pictures from that night...
There you go... my Christmas celebration. The best thing was that I had so much fun celebrating this season of Christmas with baby & them! How about yours? Are you having as much fun as I am?

Fettes Park Baptist Kindy's Concert
A couple of weeks ago, Fettes Park Baptist Kindergarten organized a kindy's concert. I volunteered to be as a helper for the concert. Prior to the concert, I was asked to help to guide the kids in their schoolwork (one of the class) for few days as a chance to get to know the kids and vice versa. It was definitely a few days which I enjoyed! My baby offered his service to be a traffic warden to ease the traffic outside the church on the day of the concert itself as there will be lots of parents showing up to watch their kids performing.
Basically I was there to lend a hand in changing their costumes, tie their hair and applying make-up for the kids. At the same time, I had fun playing with the kids. Though they might be naughty at times and some are uncontrollable *headache*, yet they still look adorable.
A few are my favorite ones.

Left: Jing Rou..... Right: Ivy

My baby definitely agree with me that this girl is the most adorable.
Part of the performance.

Thumbelina

Goose dance - this is one of the cutest dance

Ashley as the teacup in Beauty & the Beast
Overall, FPBK put up an amazing concert and I can see that all the parents are enjoying the performance and so do I. I bet the parents are surely proud of their children as the kids really did a great job!
I think I would like to be a kindergarten teacher when I am retired from my working world for I believe with kids around, it creates a healthy work environment as you get to be a part of their world of innocence and purity. Besides that, you get a chance to laugh with them, think their way and enjoy their "innocently silly and healthy mischievous' behavior". I trust that this could serves as an effective stress buster! Don't you agree??

Happy 2nd Anniversary My Babykia!!
October 15th 2009 marked our two years of being together as a couple. Instead of the usual ways such as having a romantique candlelight dinner at some enlisted fancy restaurant filled with good food or wine or going for a romantic getaway for the weekend or giving a romantic surprise gift to each other, we decided to celebrate our anniversary in a very different manner by having a food feast at Gurney Drive.

I know it may not be the ideal way of celebrating one's anniversary for some women, but I think one need not always have an expensive taste to make your anniversary special. Sometimes we can use romantic and inexpensive ideas for an anniversary to celebrate all these years of togetherness.
In my personal viewpoint, what is right for your anniversary is totally up to you regardless of how you celebrate. An anniversary celebration is one of love and togetherness, a time to honor the love that you both share. I don't mean that anniversary is the only time to honor your blooming love, as everyday is a time to rejoice and commemorate the hills and valleys that you both have quell in your love's journey. But anniversary celebration obviously play some important milestone in your relationship as it profess your allegiance to your partner as well as allows both of you to have a glimpse into the future and a look back into the past.
As you come up with ways to make your anniversary special in any way you can, always remember the most important thing....... enjoy each other's company!!
We ordered Asam Laksa, Muar Chee, See Kua Ting, Fried Lok-Lok, Soy Bean while we save the best for the last - Rojak as our dessert. We managed to feast on all these mouth-watering food with the cost of only RM20+. Cheap and fulfilling yet we enjoy it to much extent and loving every moment of it!

From foe to friend
We all have our friends, some who you have a close-bonded friendship or some "Hi-Bye" friends. But no matter what, we always do have someone who always mean more than just a friend, or should I say the best of all friends, our BEST FRIEND...whom we exudes trust, whom we confide all our deep-thoughts to when you were in elementary days, all through high school and in college.
I have mine too, my bestest best friend! Her name is Ashley. Where do I begin to babble on about Ashley?? Let's start on how we get to be so close, and if memory serves me right, we are actually two persons from two different worlds where we don't have anything in common until we really get to know each other.
Before we get even close to being friend, we were ENEMIES!! Yes...I've said it, enemies!! Can you imagine that we used to go to the same kindergarten, and in the same class as well. But it never really serves as a part of my memory until the class photo came into the picture.
Alright, let's fast forward to Primary 4. This would really sound silly but whenever me and Ash brought this up, we could not stop laughing at our very own puerile. You can't really blame us, after all we were once childlike. You see, we used to sit with our own friends who we always mingled with. Then one day, our class teacher decided to switch our places because according to her, we were loquacious. She arranged me to sit beside Ash. Gosh!! Ever since then, we loathe each other soooo much until the point of separating our table and gave verbal warning that if anything *like eraser, pencil, ruler... you name it* happened to cross mine or her boundaries, I am going to throw it away...like really away!! *ferocious huh!! that's what you get for awakening the little cub within*
You see, we still don't like nor mix with each other until we proceed to secondary, that's when our friendship starts to blossom. I don't know how or when or what that starts drawing us closer but I'm definitely happy that it happened. We really became good friends ever since that time. And I'm proud to say that we have been best friends for a decade..and still counting!! And the ordinary occurrences that seem comical to us was that sometimes some teacher really do get confused with us because they said we both look kinda alike. *Instead of calling us by our own name, our name were switched* We were like..."Whatt!! Where got!! Which part??!!"
Our favorite past time, of course would be having our "mee-suah" conversation and hanging out doing shopping and silly things together. She has become a part of my family..always will be!!
Along the way, we, of course have found some good friends we love soooo much and still loving them. We hang out as a group, but to me...I would consider them as "Family" and we will always remain as a family, no matter what! You guys know who you are!!
I don't know what else to tell you about her. We've been through a lot together and I'm glad all of this revolves around FUN!! I could probably go on and on for pages but I think even Ash would dozed off reading it so I won't. Instead, I'm gonna tell her how much I love her!!
Before I forget, her big day is around the corner...so, Happy Birthday Darling!!~ *tight hugs & noisy kisses*

Toss it high into the air!!
Do you still remember the day you toss your convocation cap?? For me..ermm...I must say that I don't have the chance as I was not in Malaysia during my convocation last year. *Yess...I missed it*
Well, tomorrow would be a day that is different from any other day for my hubby. Yesss...you guess it right!! It's a CONVOCATION DAY for my dear hubby. Congrats baby..you did it!! And yes...I really must say that I am proud of him taking into account that he always does his studies last minute..and I mean..really last minute. *I guess it is in some of us...hehehe*
Unfortunately, I'm not following him down to KL to attend his graduation. *wondering why??* Of course I wanted to be there badly for him but you see, it is not a guarantee that he can get another extra ticket for me since each is entitle 2 free tickets. *even though he has already applied for it but chances is slim* Guess I wouldn't wanna take a risk in this. What if they told him that there isn't any spare ticket for him after I've bought my bus ticket. Imagine how pathetic would it be standing outside alone under the hot sun for I-don't-know-how-many-hours. And what if it rains on that day...even worse!! So...I guess, to be on the safe side... staying at home is the option for me. Moreover, he doesn't mind because we have the same perception on certain things. Right bee??
So..guess all I can do is to wait for him to show me dozen of pictures of him receiving his degree and jumps for joy while tossing his convocation cap into the air with his friends. How great would that be!!
Celebrate, savour this day!! Happy Graduation baby!!

Another year...another pound!!
Everyone looks forward to birthdays, be it your own or loved one's. Last Saturday was my baby's 25th birthday. Well, we do jazz up some celebration for him..but it wasn't those birthday party celebration as what people would usually do on their birthday.
We celebrated his birthday at Autocity Tao Cuisine. Or should we said, we have planned it beforehand in terms of where would be the suitable places with nice, comfy atmosphere that is perfect for a birthday dinner. And since me and my hubby has never try a japanese buffet, so we guess this would be the right time! Oh yes, we are sushi lovers!!!
So...off we went with Kevin and Sharon. My baby choose the 5.30 pm session. We are merriment over the unlimited succulent sushi rolls, sashimi, salmon and etc. I can hardly breath when we're just halfway through the buffet..and there is more to come...and I would say, NON-STOP. We ordered quite a lot actually..hehe
Of course, we manage to snap some photos along the way but not the food. *Pardon me..Get too carried away with the food that came non-stop..haha*
The snapshots:
Left: Silly us, Right: Candid
Birthdays are never complete without presents and cakes. Unfortunately, there would be no birthday cake, just a birthday gift as he's not quite a fan of cakes. I guess you guys must be wondering what I would give to my dear hubby as a birthday gift.
I would say...nothing special. Bet you'll agree to this when you see the pictures below :

Father's Day
I bet everyone knows what day is yesterday. What else would we celebrate the holiday that always falls on the 3rd Sunday of the month of June apart from Father's Day??
Father's Day is a special day celebrated to honor our fathers for everything they do for us throughout their life. Different people celebrate this day differently such as giving gifts, having special dinners or having some family-oriented activities.
Well, as for my family, we have decided to have our dinner at Azuma Japanese Restaurant at Queensbay Mall. All of us are first-timer except for my sister's bf. Since it is Father's Day, a special father's day set is included in the menu for that day. (but I forgot what it is called but it taste great!!)
The Teppanyaki is highly recommended. And there is some Tofu (sorry, I get too carried away with the food that I forgot to take note of the name) as an appetizer which you should try as well as the Green Tea Ice Cream (handmade by them) as a dessert.
Here are some pictures we took on that day:
After dinner, we have a walk around Queensbay Mall to digest the food we had just consume before heading to Baskin Robbins for our dessert. *Burrpp!...Oppssie!!*
Oh well, that's pretty much how we celebrate our Father's Day.
How about you???
